A catch-all e-mailbox is one that collects all the email messages sent to nonexistent addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone misspells it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Just one mailbox per domain name can have this feature activated and thus you will never miss emails because the other side has an outdated address or has made a spelling error. The drawback of configuring a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving lots of junk email messages, but this problem can be rectified by using an anti-spam filtering solution. It is also essential to keep in mind that a mailbox with an activated catch-all feature cannot redirect incoming email messages to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

In case you host a domain on our cloud platform and you have a cloud hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all functionality for any mailbox that you create under the domain. The Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section includes quite a lot of features, but it’s stunningly easy to work with, so setting up a catch-all mailbox takes just a click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be shown in this section alphabetically and you’ll just need to click the "Catch-all" button for the respective address. Our system will notify you if there is already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either disable the latter feature or select a different mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as simple and takes yet another mouse click on the same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

You will be able to configure a catch-all address with no more than one click if you have a semi-dedicated package with us and your emails are handled by our cloud web hosting platform. All the addresses that you create with any domain name hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be displayed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. Each of them will have a mini "Catch-all" icon next to it, so all it will take to enable the feature will be to click that icon. In the same way you’ll be able to disable the feature, if you do not need it anymore. Our system will warn you if you are trying to activate a second catch-all address for a certain domain name or in case there’s active email forwarding, but it’ll never deactivate or alter anything automatically or without your approval.
